Old bloggs and leap frogs

More Christmas parties. Some late into the night/ into the morning. Can you tell I’m an English teacher?

I’m procrastinating again. Again.

So I was reading through my old blog. I was looking for a particular post with art history references, but I didn’t get back that far. It’s interesting reading that blog because it’s a little different from this one. My posts were short and sometimes disjointed. They usually had something to do with school/work, art, more art, and Jesus. And there were usually reflections of the deep inner workings of my mind.

So I’m in a mood to listen to rap/ pop music and I really love the song “Pon de Replay” by Rihanna. And sometimes I dance a little, but I lack dancing perseverance.

I miss art. Making it. Seeing it. Studying it. Analyzing it.  Today I visited Hiruma-san’s house. He and his wife are a part of our church. He paints with watercolor and oil. His use of arbitrary color is phenomenal. I really respect that because it wasn’t easy for me. And he only started painting after he retired.

“Pon de Replay” is a good tune to move to!! I smile thinking of you cutting loose to Ms. Rihanna. It is hard for me to keep my body still when I hear that song…all of a sudden my shoulders start moving and next think I know I am jamming out :)
